One day I did dream of a most beauteous sight
The golden glory of the morning first cascading light
Which sent myriads of auburn-red through such softness of hair
That as the gentle summer breeze and complimented skin so fair
And eyes greener than the deepest lakes or bays
But as I reached out I could hear her say
“Do not try so hard my love, but wait for the day”
As her voice grew dim I opened my eyes
And just then the sun, it began to rise
But as I looked over the sun-covered ground
My summer girl was no where to be found
My body now filled with such emptiness, pain
I stared out at the blue out my bedroom in vain
But as I did stare, I heard a voice say
“Do not fear my love, but wait for the day”
